Every district in Busan city is connected by the subway line. Busan’s subway named Humetro, you can find many information from the official website or this blog post. Humetro, which combines the words ‘human’ and ‘metro’, implies the importance of the metro system for human. I think the name Humetro describes the exact condition of people using the subway. The air conditioner inside Humetro will adjust the comfort air according to the season. It will blow warm air in the winter, and will blow cool air in the summer.

It costs 1,100 won (for 1 line trip or before 10 km) and 1,300 won (for 2 line trip or over 10 km). We can calculate from Won to USD: 1 KRW = 0.00088 USD or 1 USD = 1,126.22 KRW :)

These are the Humetro lines:

3. I am in PNU and want to go to Haeundae beach. So I have to go to station PNU station (#128), enter the gate that towards to Seomyeon station. In Seomyeon, I have to change (transfer) the subway that towards to Jeonpo. I will stop in Haeundae station (#203).
and so on…

Soon, it will be open a subway line from Busan to Gimhae International Airport.

We can get the Humetro ticket by choose one of these 2 ways:
1. Directly buy ticket from the vending machine

My friend Amna shows us how to buy the ticket directly from the vending machine

2. Buy MyB card
Mostly of my friend called this card Miyabi, not MyB -___-”. We have to buy MyB card first, then fill it with some amount of money (minimal 5,000 won). We can re-fill it any amount and whenever we want. Fortunately, we can use this MyB card for printing documents and pay shuttle bus from PNU Station to campus. MyB card available almost in every mart i.e.: 7-eleven, Family Mart, GS-25, Homeplus, e-mart, etc.
